Joan Alice Strassman

Joan Alice Strassman, age 86, passed away unexpectedly of COVID related heart failure on Tuesday January 19, 2021. Joan was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Ralph and Sylvia (Forman) Erschen on April 26, 1934. She married Thomas Strassman on July 11, 1959. She loved to spend time with her family  and was an avid Packers fan. She also enjoyed gambling.

Joan is survived by two sons and one daughter: David (Susan) Strassman of Oshkosh, Christine (Patrick) Bushman of Winneconne and Steven (Cheryl) Strassman of Appleton, grandchildren: Tara, Daniel (Victoria), Jason (Emily), and Joshua (Rachel), great-grandchildren: Dylan, Ethan, Marcela, Gavin, Dayvion, Ava, Keltin, Cole, Alexander, Dani, Marshawn Jr., and Gage, and one great-great-grandchild, Auburn as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, parents Ralph and Sylvia, and two sisters Lois and Audrey.

There will be a memorial service for Joan on Saturday May, 1, 2021 at 1:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri County Chapel on Oneida Street in Menasha. There will be a gathering before the service, at the funeral home, on Saturday from 11:00am, to 1:00pm.
