Jo Anne (Harms) Stephens, of Greenville, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 22, 2015. Jo was born in Elkhart, Indiana on July 16, 1933 to the late David and Edna (Woodman) Harms. She married Conrad W. Stephens on January 4, 1955. She graduated from Elkhart High School. She was a telephone operator, switchboard operator/receptionist outstanding mother of three and the best wife and companion a man could ask for. She loved to play duplicate bridge and sing and play the base guitar in a country and western band called the ” Pepper Shakers”. In 1981 she was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and she switched from card and singing to serving her Heavenly Father. She faithfully filled many very demanding callings for her Church and built an exceptional Testimony of her God and Savior. She and her Husband were sealed in the Ogden, Utah Temple in 1985 on their 30th wedding anniversary, for Time and All Eternity.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Conrad W. Stephens, her three children, Mark (Gina) Stephens, Scott (Ruth) Stephens and Connie (Jeff) Thomas, thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her sister Shirley (Lloyd) Linder, Doris (Lee) Hoyt and many wonderful nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Jo will be held at 1:15 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 425 W. Park Ridge Avenue in Appleton. Bishop Christopher Allen will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Church are appreciated. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
