Julie Ann Rasmussen

Julie Ann Rasmussen (Kniebes) died February 8, 2022, after a long battle with MS.  Julie was born July 14, 1961, in Neenah, WI the third of five daughters to James and Margaret Kniebes.  Julie grew up in Menasha WI and attended Menasha High School.

Julie met Dale Rasmussen after high school and they married December 28, 1984, and soon after had three boys: Chris, Brian, and Jesse.

Julie loved to watch a variety of tv shows (a love that she had from the time she was little) and had a special affinity for sweets. In times when she was feeling up to it Julie especially enjoyed walks.  When Dale was stationed in Washington state with the Navy, they enjoyed the walking trails and parks.

Her furbabies were Julie’s first “family” and Julie loved them like her children.  Upon the arrival of the boys, the furbabies were still a huge part of her home.

Julie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dale; sons Chris (Katie) Rasmussen, Brian Rasmussen, and Jesse (Myshel) Rasmussen.  She is further survived by her sisters: Mary (Tony) Weber, Darla Larsen, Jennie (Cory) Peterson and Sara Skenandore.  Grandsons Bryce, Nathan, Lyle, Holden, Atticus, and Collin and soon to be granddaughter Juniper further survive her.  Julie was SO looking forward to having a little girl to spoil!

Julie is preceded in death by her parents James and Margaret, Dale’s parents Lyle and Jeanette, and brothers in law: Daryl and Jim Rasmussen.

A private celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022.
