Age 22, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 5, 2002 at her home in Milwaukee. She was born on Feb. 3, 1981 in Wisconsin Rapids. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1999. At the time of her death, she was attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Her survivors include her mother and step father Gwenn (Jim) Steele, her brother Elijah, a sister Geneva all of Menasha; her grandmother Virginia Calkins of Friendship, Wisconsin; her father Robert Wilke of Wisconsin Rapids; her aunts Tammy Cherney of Sparta, Wisconsin, and Barbara Churchill of Arkdale, Wisconsin; her cousins Chris, Andy, and Matt Dercks from Antigo.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, February 10, 2002 at 12:00 noon at Heckrodt Nature Center on Hwy 114 in Menasha. Friends may call at the nature center on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
