Jerry P. Wichman, age 84, passed away of a short illness on January 18, 2020, at home. He was born April 25, 1935, in Freedom to Albert and Margery (Garvey) Wichman. Jerome worked for Foremost for 39 1/2 years. Jerome married Margaret John on August 11, 1956. Jerome was a Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Steelers & Green Bay Packers fan. He loved to go “Play Pennies” at the Casino and liked to go out for breakfast.
Survivors include his wife: Margaret; daughters: Lynn Geiger and Susan (Doug) Van Der Heyden; grandchildren: Dean (Becky) Geiger, Ryan (Jennifer) Geiger, Scott Van Der Heyden, Sara (Eric) Streur, Stacy (Adam) Madison; great grandchildren: Grace, John, Ethan, Ella, Noah, Josh, Adam, Jaxon, Madoxx, Hayden, & Callen; sisters-in-law: Lucille Wichman and Rosemary John; many other relatives, and friends.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents; father- and mother-in-law: Lester and Rosella (Griese) John; a brother Robert “Jim” Wichman; and daughter Laurie Ann Wichman.
Services to be held at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

Dad, you are the greatest person ever. You were always there for every single one of us. We are so lucky to have had you in our lives. We wish you could be here longer, but the good Lord needed you more. We love you so much and are going to miss you dearly. Dad you won’t be forgotten and you will always be in our hearts. Don’t worry Dad we will take good care of mom. —We love you.
