Age 94, formerly of Appleton, died Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. She was born December 27, 1911, and was a loving mother and grandmother. Jennie enjoyed walking, crocheting, knitting and crafts. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton.
Jennie worked for five years at Berg’s Laundry in Kaukauna, the Kaukauna Times for five years, and at Appleton Memorial Hospital for 13 years prior to her retirement.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Clayton Weyers, Kaukauna, her son and daughter-in-law, John and Jeanne Wirth, Appleton; her sister, Gennith Welling, Madison, and a sister-in-law, Lois Wirth, Colorado; she had seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James “Gibby”, her son, Jerry and daughter, Patsy; also two grandsons, Tom Weyers and Jeff Wirth, five brothers, three sisters, and many wonderful friends.

Funeral services for Jennie will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2006, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton, with Rev. John C. Baumann officiating. Interment will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services directly at the funeral home. A memorial fund in Jennie’s name is being established.
