Jeffrey Adam Liethen

Jeffrey Adam Liethen, age 61 of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Jeff was born in Appleton on July 28, 1962 to the late Peter and Karen Liethen. He graduated from Appleton East High School, Class of 1980 and went on to work at W.S. Packaging for over 35 years. He married the love of his life, Ellen Minten on September 16, 1994. Jeff was an avid sports fan and spent hours rooting for his Wisconsin teams: The Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks. He loved fishing and spending time up north with his family. Jeff will always be remembered for his sense of humor, care and compassion for his wife Ellen, and his love for his nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Ellen, brothers, Peter Liethen and Tim Liethen, nephew Josh Liethen, mother-in-law Janice Minten, sisters-in-law, Debbie Ott, Kelly (Jim) Sanderfoot, and Lisa Vandehey, brother-in-law Todd (Sarah) Minten and nephews Eric Vandehey and Joe Minten, nieces Kayla (special friend Nick) Vandehey and Jessica Minten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Eugene Minten, brothers-in-law Steve Vandehey and T.J. Ott and nephew Jeremy Liethen.

There will be a Memorial Service for Jeff on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 4:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Homes, Jansen Fargo Chapel in Kimberly with the Rev. Steve Deitzler officiation. There will be a visitation on Thursday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
