Jeffrey "Jeff" E. Hermanson

Jeffrey E. “Jeff” Hermanson, age 64 of Appleton, passed away on April 25, 2022 at his home. Jeff was born on January 2, 1958 to Richard and Karen (Wharton) Hermanson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His family moved to the Appleton area when he was young and he graduated from Appleton West High School, Class of 1976. On June 17, 1977 he married his wife Sandy in Appleton. He was a long-time employee of Voith Paper Fabrics.

Jeff was a hands-on dad and grandpa. He loved spending time with his family. He was a self-taught Jack of All Trades and could fix anything. He also loved to share his knowledge with his family, was a good teacher, and had a great sense of humor.

He loved spending time at the cabin in Armstrong Creek, and riding snowmobiles and UTV’s. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips to Fleet Farm.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Sandy of Appleton, children: Josh (Kathryn) Hermanson of Appleton and their children  Hailey, Tyler “Tip”, and Anna Hermanson, and Nathan (Audra) Hermanson of Green Bay and their children  Alea, Maisy, Ruby and Matthew “Crocleberry” Hermanson, as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Matthew who died serving his country while in Afghanistan in 2011, and his grandma Rose who he was very close to.

There will be a gathering in celebration of Jeff’s life on Wednesday May 4, 2022 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Superior Street Location in Appleton. There will be a memorial service at the funeral home at 2:00pm. The celebration of life will continue after the memorial service at the Northland Sports Pub and Grill, 340 W. There will be a private interment at a later date at Riverside Cemetery of Appleton.
