Jeffrey "Jeff" Edward Helms

Jeffrey E. Helms, 71, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1951, in Appleton, the son of Harold Hugo and Marion Luella (Runge) Helms. Jeff had a passion for cars, stock car racing, and NASCAR. He enjoyed watching the Packer’s and his granddaughters play softball, listening to classic rock music, golfing, motorcycles, and dogs. Jeff was united in marriage to Pat on August 30, 1980, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Appleton.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 42 years: Pat; 3 sons: Tony (Lindsy) Helms, Cory (Stacie) Schlafer, and Erik Schlafer; 6 grandchildren: Collin, Breanna, Grayson, Jacob, Emma, and Zach; 2 great grandchildren: Evan and Lorelai; his beloved dog: Sage; other relatives and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother: Barry Helms.

Memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm, on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Visitation will be on Friday at the chapel from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
