Jeanette Strobel, age 82 of Kimberly, went to heaven on March 24, 2022. She was born December 3, 1939, daughter of the late Carl and Esther (Voeks) Schroeder. On March 12, 1966, she married Merle “Smokey” Strobel; he has preceded her in death.
For over forty years, Jeanette was employed by the Scolding Locks Company in Appleton. She enjoyed an occasional visit to the casino, spending time in the Northwoods, and maintaining the flowers around her home.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Donald (Margaret) Schroeder of Florida, Doris Culver of Appleton, Duane (Karen) Schroeder of Appleton, Gordon (Jean) Schroeder of Appleton and Barbara Bahr of Appleton; a sister-in-law: Nancy Schroeder of Neenah; and a brother-in-law: Arliss Strobel of Antigo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Merle “Smokey” Strobel and his parents Adam and Ilene Strobel, brothers and sisters Carol (Eugene) Tyler, Earl (Suzanne) Schroeder, Joanne (Joe) Verhasselt, and Larry Schroeder; nephew Brandon Bahr; great-nieces Hayley Guyette and Emily O’Connor, brothers-in-law James Guyette, Gordon Bahr, Kenneth Strobel, and a step-son Kirk Strobel.
The Christian Funeral Service for Jeanette will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. Roger Holtz officiating. Entombment will take place next to Smokey at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
