Jeanette “Jen” Cecelia Sorges New London Age 96 Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday December 17, 2024 Jeanette was born in Kaukauna, WI on April 13, 1928, to Leonard and Marie (Berholtz) Graf. On April 18, 1980 Jeanette was united in marriage to her late husband and love of her life, DeWayne “Murph” Sorges in Neenah WI. She was an incredible cook, loved to bake and retired as a dietary aid from Parkview Health Center in Oshkosh WI. One of her favorite pastimes beyond spending time with family, reading and traveling, was knitting.She made sweaters, hats, mittens, doll clothes, afghans for all her children, grandchildren; Some are still being used after 30 years.
Jeanette is survived by her children Fred (Kerry) Boness; Daryl (Leslie) Boness; Debbie (Scott) Sager; Lynn Boness and special friend Zeff; Kathy (Mike) Fay; Dan (Barb) Boness and Melanie (Todd) Wilcox; stepdaughter: Barb Volle. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grand children 1 great-great granddaughter, other friends and relatives.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband DeWayne “Murph”, step-son Bruce, her Grandson Sean and her Great Grandson Chayse.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel (1592 S. Oneida St Menasha, WI 54952) with Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service. Jen will be buried at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
A special thank you to the girls at both Monarch Meadows and the Washington Center of New London for their kindness and care over the years. And a special thank you to Moments Hospice for the compassionate care they provided both Jeanette and family.
