Baumann, Jeanette F.
Jeanette Frances Baumann, Town of Grand Chute, age 89, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Monday evening, February 4, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center. Jeanette was born August 26, 1918, in the Township of Winneconne, WI, to the late August C. and Rosa (Yost) Andresen. On June 16, 1942 she was united in marriage to Joseph W. Baumann in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1998. Jeanette was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and volunteered in several capacities for many years. Probably best remembered for the delicious popcorn at BINGO. Jeanette enjoyed watching birds in her feeders and in her yard. She is survived by two children, Tony J. Baumann and Kathy Taplin; three grandchildren, Michael Joseph Baumann, Jeanette Kayla Taplin and Laci Rose Taplin; two sisters, Eileen (Carl) Baumann, and Marion Baumann; sisters-in-law, Katherine Andresen, Betty (Russell) Burns, Jean Baumann and Marie Bushman; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Virginia) Baumann, Henry (Clara) Baumann and Emmett Decker and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Marguerite (Frank) Pelles, brother, Charles Andresen, brothers-in-law, Clement Baumann, Claire (Leona) Baumann, Nicholas Baumann, Eugene Bushman, Eugene Weyers, sisters-in-law, Gertrude Decker and Blanche (Richard) Strelka. The funeral liturgy for Jeanette will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 7, 2008, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, with Father Gerald R. Falk officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Park. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 am, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established for St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
