Age 78, she was born to eternal life on Sunday September 9, 2001 at Appleton Medical Center. Jean was born on May 30, 1923 in Amherst, WI the daughter of the late Joseph and Fern (Olson) Monroe. On March 14, 1943 she married Ralph Boelter in Waupaca and enjoyed 46 years together before he preceded her in death. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also worked for many years at Pranges as a waitress in the coffee shop.

Jean is survived by two children, Katherine (Andrew) Rogers and Joseph (Karen) Boelter; four grandchildren, David (Julie) Boelter, Laura (James) Buschke, Jeanette and Christine Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Emily Rogers and Jamie Buschke; one brother, Dale (Muriel) Monroe; three brothers-in-law, Donald (Bea) Boelter, Ervin (Anita) Boelter and Jack Myers and one sister-in-law, Norma Blenker.
Jean was preceded in death by one sister, Dona Myers and one brother-in-law, Al Blenker.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2001 at Christus Lutheran Church (N1915 Julius Drive, Greenville) at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. David Morton officiating. Friends will be received directly at the church on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service (7:00 p.m.).
