TRADEWELL, JEAN N.
Jean N. Tradewell, age 80, formerly of Appleton, died Monday, February 14, 2005, in Weyauwega. Jean was born on August 17, 1924, in Appleton, to the late Sigurd and Ruth (Weimer) Rindal. She was a 1942 graduate of Appleton High School and was active in extracurricular activities, especially cheerleading. She continued her dedication to AHS by her involvement in subsequent reunion planning. Upon her graduation she proudly served in the United States Navy, and as a nurse was stationed in Bethesda, Maryland, during World War II. Following the war she was a fashion illustrator based in Duluth, Minnesota. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother and especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed travel, especially with her family.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Greg) Petit, Appleton, and James (Nancy) Ebel, Colville, Washington; her grandchildren, Grayson and Brielle Petit of Appleton; Jennica Ebel and Andrea (Trevor) Brown, both of Colville, Washington; She was preceded in death by her husband James and her sister, Bette Gruentzel.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton, with Funeral Celebrant Pete Reinl officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established in her name. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
