Jean Marilyn Guinan, a beautiful and talented woman, died on October 29, 2018, a victim of Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Minnesota, Jean lived with her present husband, Jim, in many states, Wisconsin, Arizona, Ohio, Georgia and Florida, and traveled with him extensively overseas during their long and happy marriage.
In addition to retiring from major retailing as a senior vice president, she was an accomplished ocean sailor, a master gardener, and a tournament bridge player. Additionally, she and her team of tennis players won the Georgia Senior Womens’ state championship shortly after moving there.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jim Guinan, four children; Mike, Chris, Steve, and Cindy, and four step children; Jim, Mark, Kerry and Sean, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Jean will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Appropriately, her ashes will be scattered in Lake Michigan by her husband Jim and others at a future suitable time.
