Age 79, died Monday evening, November 25, 2002, at Sylvan Crossings of Appleton. She was born January 30, 1923, to the late Morgan J. and Mary L. (O’Connell) Jorgensen, Sr., in Neenah and had been an area resident all of her life. Jean had been employed by Kimberly Clark Corporation, retiring in 1983 and enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends and bowling in her spare time. She attended St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include a brother, Morgan J. Jorgensen, Jr., Appleton; a sister-in-law, Sally Jorgensen, Appleton; four nieces, Patricia Jorgensen, Appleton; Mary Somers, Menomonee Falls; Susan Jorgensen, Denver, CO; Ellen Davis, Illinois; a nephew, Bill Jorgensen, Appleton; her special grandnephews, Jeremy and Jason Somers, Menomonee Falls, WI; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Jorgenson, her brother, Clyde Jorgenson, her niece, Barbara Jorgensen, her nephew, Jimmy Jorgensen and a sister-in-law, Rosemary Jorgensen. Funeral services for Jean will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2002, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret Mary cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am, Saturday, until the time of the service.
