Jean Annaceil Klutz-Funk

December 2, 1945 — March 21, 2002

Jean A. Klutz-Funk
Out of the arms of my family, Into the arms of my Lord, Cancer claimed my life on March 21, 2002, at age 56.
On October 2, 1965 I wed Richard Klutz. That marriage lasted 33 years until his death on June 2, 1998. Our union produced one child, Ann Marie (Peter) Craney and two beautiful grandchildren, Teala Marie and Corey James VanStippen. I thank Dick for his love and the freedom to be me.
Amid the snows of a perfect winter day, on December 23, 2000, I wed Terry G. Funk. He brought me two loving stepchildren, Kristen Funk and Brian Funk. Terry, you have enriched my life beyond measure. Your love, patience and sense of God have shepherded me through my final time here on earth with dignity and respect. I love you. Jean was employed by Laminations, of Appleton, for 18 years.
I am further survived by a brother Phil (Sharrie) Schweitzer, sisters-in-law, Pat Schweitzer, JoAnn (tom) Reedy, Marsha (Jack) Heide, Todd VanStippen, two step-grandchildren Kimberly and Tony Craney, and a very special ''daughter'' Shawn Treiber Van Gompel and her children Amanda and Gabreille.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 25, 2002 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Darboy, with Father Tom Pomeroy officiating, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 24, 2002 at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and again one hour prior to the service at church.
To all of you including co-workers, friends and family, I love you all.
A special thank you to Rev. Nolan Gnewuch, Chaplain, AMC. You stayed with me through the long weeks until Richard died, you held my hand through a deep and agonizing grief, and you were the arms that held me through my final illness. I couldn't have made it without you. Nolan, thank you most for your Gift of peace.
During my life God gifted me with love, respect, good friends and a multitude of precious memories. May those memories now still your grieving hearts.
A very loving thanks to Dr. Raymon Georgen and Dr. John Swanson and the special nurses during Jeans times at Theda Clark. Our loving thanks to all Hospice staff and special hospice nurses, you were our angels.
To Pat Schweitzer, our loving thanks to handle the nights with Jean.
In lieu of flowers it was Jean's wish to set up a memorial fund for the continued development of the Darboy Community Park.

Funds can be sent directly to the:
Town of Harrison
W5298 Hwy 114
Menasha, WI 54952
Jean was very instrumental in the development of the Darboy Community Park. Her love for all children and the environment was demonstrated when she followed her vision and made this dream a reality. A place created where the young and the young of heart, can go to forget about time for a while. Thank you Jean.
Jean – you are my 'star', Terry.
