Janis K. Lukasavage (Dexheimer), 70 years, passed away March 21, 2017 at Brookdale of Neenah, Wisconsin. She was born on September 6, 1946 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to her parents Paul and Phyllis (Osmundsen) Dexheimer. During her formative years she relocated with her family to Baraboo and Oshkosh, Wisconsin eventually settling in the Neenah/Menasha area. She was a graduate of Menasha High School Class of 1964. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh for three years. She married her former husband Gordon Lukasavage in May of 1968. Her working career started at Banta Corporation and included Bank of Menasha, and Guardian Insurance where she retired.
Janis was active in her sorority at UW-Oshkosh and a member of the Sly Fox Ski Club. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, NASCAR and watching her beloved Packers. Travelling was a favorite pass-time including destinations of Paris, New York, Georgia, Florida, Boston and Jamaica. Most of all she loved being part of her granddaughters activities and sharing time with family and friends.
Janis will be missed by her children Jason (Tammy) Lukasavage and Michelle (Don) McMullen, granddaughters Emmah, Sophie and Madalynn Lukasavage and Ella McMullen, and a brother Dale (Mary Ann Torre) Dexheimer and their daughter Francesca. Preceded in death by her parents Paul and Phyllis Dexheimer and granddaughter McKenzie.
A Funeral Service for Janis will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 5 pm at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-county Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Private interment Resthaven Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 25th at the Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel from 3 pm until time of Service.
The family of Janis thanks the staffs of Aseracare Hospice and Brookdale of Neenah especially, Thea, Tiffany and Brooke for their loving care of her.
