Janice J. Pilcher, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 4, 2023. Janice was born in Neenah on April 1, 1936, daughter of the late Edward and Bernice (Lawler) Jurek. She grew up in Shiocton and attended school there, then moved to Menasha to raise her family. Many will remember her for working so many years as a records clerk at the clinic.
She loved cooking, and baking, reading, and caring for others. Many thought her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and then – the great-grandchildren arrived and stole her heart.
Survivors include her husband: Curtis Pilcher; two children: Becky Zaddack and Rick (Stacy) Bengel; a stepdaughter: Melissa Ordway; a daughter-in-law: Bonnie Bengel; six grandchildren: Josh (Krista) Zaddack, Jake (Ashton) Zaddack, Brett (Adrienne) Bengel, Eric (Kelsey) Bengel, Aaron Bengel and Alicia (Beau) Higgins. Janice will also sorely be missed by her dear friend Connie Snyder.
Those specially loved great-grandchildren include Karsen, Raegan, Colvin, Eden, Kinley, Wells, Jaymz, and Drew. There is a sister: Juretta (Gary) Olinger, as well as a special niece and Godchild: Tammy (Dick) Mathewson, also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, a son Randy in 2015, a brother James (Gayle) Jurek and a sister JoAnn (Tom) Meier.
To honor the time of Grace that Janice received, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, located at 537 N.
