Age 86, passed away on Saturday evening at Manor Care in Appleton. She was born in Green Valley, Wisconsin on September 9, 1919, to the late Jacob and Mina (Rasmusen) Olson. On April 24, 1954, she married Raymond Koepsel who passed away on June 9, 1970. Janet enjoyed growing tomato plants, listening to the Packers and Brewers on the radio, and the special time she spent with her grandchildren and her friends.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Gerald (Lana) Koepsel, Appleton; grandson, Adam Koepsel, Appleton; granddaughter, Traci Koepsel, Appleton; brothers-in-law, William (Audrey) Koepsel, George Koepsel; sisters-in-law, Leila Olson, Evelyn Koepsel, Margaret Lietz, Mabel Last, Eleanor Koepsel, Dorothy Kerswill, Arlene Babbitts; special friends, Bette Wingrove and Henrietta “Hank” Frederick, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Lester.
Funeral services for Mrs. Koepsel will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 6 p.m. at WICHMANN TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida Street, with Rev. Daniel Thews officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
