Janet M. Jordan, 74, passed away on August 31, 2021. Janet was born on June 18, 1947 in Deerfield, Wisconsin to Chester & Jeannette (Ratzlow) Zimmerman. She grew up on the farm. She was a graduate of Madison East High School in Madison, Wisconsin. She attended Madison Technical College in Madison for Commercial Arts. She worked at Royale Publishing Company in Sun Prairie Wisconsin as a bindery.
On April 3, 1971 she married John Jordan at Evangel church in Menasha, Wisconsin. They raised their two beautiful daughters in Brillion, Wisconsin.
She was a member of Our Savior Deaf Lutheran church, Madison Association of the Deaf, Women Auxiliary, Red Hats, Fox River Valley Association of the Deaf and several others. She was also on the board for the Parent Teacher Association for the Wisconsin School for the Deaf. She was a talent in oil painting as an artist and a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed doing some bulletin arts at the church and school. She loved animals. She loved to create the handmade cards.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Faye (Troy) Jordan-Peters, Ruthie Jordan, her siblings Duane (Betty) Zimmerman, Dennis (Tami) Zimmerman, Joy Dunn, Jeffrey Zimmerman, Doug (Lisa) Zimmerman and numerous of cousins, nieces & nephews. She will be sadly missed by her four grand-furrkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph Zimmerman, sister-in-law Linda Zimmerman and multiple relatives.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1pm (CST) at Our Savior Deaf Lutheran Church, 3110 Dairy Drive, Madison, Wisconsin. Visitation from 1pm to 3pm. Memorial service from 3pm to 4pm. There will be Facebook LIVE from 3pm to 4pm for those of people who live out of the state or are unable to come. Interpreters will be provided.
