Gregory, Jamie L.
Age 35, Menasha, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.
Jamie was born March 13, 1972, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, the son of Harvey and Diane (Hardy) Gregory. A lifetime resident of Menasha, he graduated from Menasha High School in 1993. Currently Jamie was employed at Lakeside Packaging Plus in Neenah, and worked previously at Goodwill in Menasha. He lived at the MRCARES Group Home in Menasha, and was very active with ARC of the Fox Cities. Jamie was a huge sports fan. He loved playing in the Neenah softball league. On Tuesday afternoons he would join his friends from Lakeside for bowling. He was an active participant in Special Olympics, and won on the state level. Throughout his life he was involved with many sports programs and won several medals, trophies, and ribbons. Jamie enjoyed his time spent at the Neenah/Menasha YMCA, and was involved in the community with Todd Stevens and Associates of Oshkosh. He was a die hard Packer fan, win, lose, or draw.
Survivors include his parents, Harvey and Diane Gregory, Menasha; his sister, Brenda (Jamie) Kelley, Menasha, and their children, Tyler and Elaenah; his maternal grandfather, Norbert Hardy; his godparents, Randy Hardy and Beverly Mundt; and a special uncle, John Gregory. He is further survived by other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Hardy, and paternal grandparents, Harvey G. and Eleanor Gregory. Jamie was loved by all his family and friends and he loved all of them. He will be truly missed.
Funeral services for Jamie will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, downtown chapel, with Rev. James Rademaker, Hope Lutheran Brethren Church, officiating. Jamie will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A memorial fund in Jamie’s name is being established.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the people who were so important in Jamie’s life. They include MRCARES, ARC, his Lakeside and Goodwill coworkers and friends, and TSA.
