“Rocky”
Age 82, passed away peacefully, Wednesday March 14, 2001 at Appleton Medical Center.
He was born May 10, 1918 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Jesse and Claude LaRock. On September 7, 1941 Rocky married Sadie A. Floeter in Westfield, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on October 14, 1996.
Rocky was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A resident of Appleton, Wisconsin for 58 years, he retired from American Can River Street plant in 1980. He enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and making wooden toys. He was a longtime member of Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton.
Survivors include three daughters; Shirley (Brian) Allard, Kimberly, Karen (Tom) Olson, Appleton, Nancy (Tom) Feldmann, Grand Chute, seven grandchildren; Jim Allard, Little Chute, Cathy Allard and fiancée Don Peterson, Montana, Robb (Ellen) Allard, Little Chute, Tony (Azusa) Allard, Colorado, Shannon Bryan, Appleton, and her special friend Eric, Chicago, Adam Feldmann and Amanda Feldmann, Grand Chute, six great grandchildren, Heather and Samantha Allard, Little Chute, Jordan and Emily Allard, Little Chute, Noah Bryan, Appleton, and Debora Allard, Colorado.
He is further survived by his brother Fran (Doretta) Curtis, Wisconsin Rapids, sister Gladys Laufer, brothers and sisters-in-law, Les and Jan Floeter, Madison, Marvin and Tiny Floeter, Tennessee, Mabel and Ray Runge, Campbellsport, and special cousins Neil and Elaine Hielsberg, New London, and good friend Lou Haas, Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Sadie (Floeter) LaRock, by his parents Jesse and Claude LaRock, his sister Grace Zinda, his brother Milo LaRock, and his mother and father-in-law Anna and Albert Floeter.
Complete funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2001 at RIVERVIEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 136 West Seymour St. with Rev. Dennis Belter officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday, directly at the church from 4:30 p.m. until the hour of services. A memorial fund has been established in Rocky’s name.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Heyerdahl, his nurses Nancy, Diane and Ann, and the rest of the Primary Care Associates staff. With a special thanks to the staff of 4th floor north a AMC.
God has taken you to be with him in heaven and you will finally again be with mom. “I’m but a stranger here, Heaven is my home.”
