Age 44, died after a long battle with Leukemia at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, on Thursday, October 7, 2004. He was born in Milwaukee on December 27, 1959, son of the late James Quinlan and Sandra Dreckman. On March 21, 1991, he married Rebecca Bjerke. James was a roofer for 25 years until his illness. James is survived by his wife, Rebecca; children: Lyndsay, Cassie and James, all of Wautoma; stepdaughter, Amber Bjerke of Plainfield; granddaughter, Katrina of Plainfield; sisters: Jeanne Sutter of Hartford, Joanne (Larry) McGeigue of Hartford and Julie Quinlan of Illinois; brother-in-law, Danny Sutter; special uncle and friend, David Barnekow; and many special nieces and nephews. He is further survived by special friends Brad and Paul from Cots Inc, and numerous friends and coworkers. James is preceded in death by his parents, and aunts and uncles. A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Jelacic Funeral Home, 5639 W. Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
