CASTILLO, JAMES P.
James Castillo, 60, of Appleton, passed away with his family at his side on Friday, September 24, 2010. He was born on April 28, 1950 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Charles and Wilma Lea (Smith) Castillo. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army and Wisconsin National Guard. He was employed at J.I. Case Company and Dumore in Racine; Maysteel in Mayville, Galway, Ireland and Menomonee Falls; Tenere in Austin, Texas and Ponce, Puerto Rico. Jim and Mary later owned and operated WineStyles in Encinitas, California. He had a passion for table tennis, music, cooking, fishing and gardening. Jimmy was a devoted and dear husband, father and brother.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years: Mary Castillo; children: James Alexander del Castillo and Carolyn Jean Lea Castillo; mother: Wilma Lea Castillo; brothers: Richard del Castillo, Mickey Castillo and Doug del Castillo; sister: Katherine Nadolni and his brother and sister-in-law: Paul and Ellen Andersen. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Castillo and mother and father-in-law, Jean and Faust Wilowich.
The memorial service for Jim will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Memorials are appreciated to the Salvation Army, Leukemia Research Foundation or St. Paul Elder Services.
