James J. Miller

James J. Miller age, 86, passed away on March 28, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1938, and grew up in Kimberly. From 1961 through 1963, he was in the U.S. Army. On September 8, 1984, he married Peggy Grabski and the two shared the next 17 years together before cancer took her away from him. Peggy loved to travel (especially to see birds) and encouraged Jim to new adventures throughout their time together.

Jim was a gentle man and a very private person. He loved quiet nature walks and classical music. He was passionate about cars, enjoyed attending car shows-and especially enjoyed keeping his own cars clean. He was passionate about attending both local and NASCAR races and went to RoadAmerica every summer.

Jim is survived by his siblings: Richard Miller, and Mary Ann (Reg) Behrends; stepson Eric (Debbie) Grabski; sisters-in-law Nancy (Chuck) Richards and Mariko Miller; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Peg, his parents Simon Wieland and Rosella (George) Miller; his brothers Robert (Audrey) Miller, William Miller, Ronald Miller, and sister Ruth Van Gompel.

A funeral service will take place on Friday April 4, 2025, at 11:00am at Wichmann Funeral Home-Jansen Fargo location, 204 E Kimberly Ave, Kimberly. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 10:00am until the service begins. Jim will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
