James M. McPartlin, age 73 of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away May 1, 2024, after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s with his family by his side.
Jim was born in Chicago, IL, son of the late James P. and Lorraine K. McPartlin.
He was a loving husband of 45 years to Catherine (Collins), father to Jimmy and Dan, and brother to Maureen (Terry) Hegarty, Joan (Brian) Lynch, Brian (Marjie) McPartlin, and Mary Ellen (Mike) McKendry. Also survived by Robert (Carese) Collins, JR (Jeanne) Collins. He was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews and loved by countless cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by William Collins, Ginny and Jack Litz.
Jim grew up in Evergreen Park and attended Brother Rice High School. He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA with a bachelor’s degree in business. He worked at Kimberly Clark for his entire 37-year career.
Jim loved connecting with family at his happy place in Lake Delavan. He loved boating, ski trips, and golfing. In his later years after retirement, he was a snowbird and spent several winters in Fort Myers, FL.
Visitation will be at St. Thomas More Church (1810 North McDonald Street, Appleton, WI 54911) on Monday, May 20 from 9:00-11:00 am followed by mass at 11:00 am. He will be buried at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Appleton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.
