Age 90, died Friday, December 20, 2002, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. James was born on April 24, 1912, in Detroit, to the late James and Lee Elliott. He married Loraine Stieve on August 30, 1938, in Chicago; she preceded him in death in June of 1997. James was a carpenter. Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Elliott, Appleton; and his son, Crispin (Janelle) Elliott, Elgin, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Kevin (Janet) Elliott, Mishawaca, Indiana, and Juliann Elliott, Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2002, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Rev. Dr. Andrew Chisel officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established in James’ name to benefit Fox River Baptist Church, Appleton.
