Jim Kieffer, 69, of Kaukauna, WI passed away peacefully Tuesday May 28, 2024, surrounded by family after a long battle with emphysema.
He was born March 11, 1955, the eldest son of Howard and Betty Jean Kieffer.
Jim was known for his kind heart, sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a humble man who took much pride in being a great son, brother, dad, uncle, friend and dog/cat whisperer. He enjoyed watching sports, hunting and fishing, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and a good steak or fish fry. He enjoyed his friends at the 206 Club and spent the last 38 years of his life in sobriety, which led him back to God and to his family. Jim retired after working 40+ years at Bel Brands Cheese (Kaukauna Klub) where he was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 662.
Jim is survived by daughter Sarah George, and brothers Perry and Dave Kieffer, nieces and nephews Sonia Schmitt, Kristan Kieffer, Ben (Stephanie) Kieffer, Britteny (Matt) Eveningred, Linsey Kieffer, Gabbie (Tim) LeBeau, Ashley (Bryan) Beres, Melissa Kieffer-Doss, and Dan Kieffer. He is further survived by 12 grandnieces and 7 grandnephews, other relatives, and many friends. Jim has been reunited in heaven with his parents, sister Jean “Ginger” Schmitt, brother Chris Kieffer and many other loved ones.
Visitation will be held at the Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home (400 W. Wisconsin Ave. Kaukauna, WI 54130), from 10:00 AM to noon, followed by a Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Saint Paul Elder Services or the charity of your choice will be appreciated. Words cannot express the extreme gratitude the family feels for the St. Paul’s hospice team of Lindsey, Lindsay, Julie, Corinne and Dee-J.
