James J. Zelinski

Loving husband, father and grandfather, age 78, died on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Brewster Village. James was born in Appleton on June 1, 1925, the son of the late Julius and Emma (Homblette) Zelinski. He married Mary Otto on September 4, 1948. James loyally served his country in the U.S. Navy. His military service was very important to him. James retired from American Can Co., where he was employed in the distribution center. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary; his three children, Barb (John) Kudrna; David (Annette) Zelinski; Carol (Jim) Van Heertum; five grandchildren, Kellie (James) Anderson and Jeff Kudrna; Sarah (Mike) Classen, Lori and Steven Van Heertum; and a great-grandchild, Lauren Anderson. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, December 8, 2003 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. J. Christian Quello officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, December 8, from 4 until 6:45 p.m. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff for the love and care they gave to Jim during his 6-year stay at Brewster Village.
