Mr. JAMES J. RECKER SR.
Appleton
Age 61, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday March 13, 2001. He was born on February 5, 1940 son of the late Joseph and Florence (Rhode) Recker in Appleton, Wisconsin. Mr. Recker was employed at the Neenah Foundry for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and meditating by the water. James also liked spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Recker will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his two daughters, Judy (Tim) Rothe Sr. of Appleton and Barbara (Roger) Raethke of Pepin, WI; his two sons, James (Colleen) Recker Jr. of Appleton and Tony (Joan) Recker of Appleton. He will also be greatly missed by seven grandchildren, Tim Jr., Justin and Adam Rothe; Joshua, Ashley and Kelsey Recker; and Dylan Recker; six sisters, Mary (Gary) Tate of New London, Sue McFaul of Oshkosh, Lorayne Stilen of Kaukauna, Anna (Ken) Rehbein of Kewaskum, Kathy Recker of Appleton, Pat (George) Williams of Ohio; a brother, Joe (Barb) Recker, Greenville; three sisters-in-law, Rose Tonn of Bonduel, Nancy (Lawrence) Meulemans, Black Creek, Darlene (Paul) Forster, Appleton; a brother-in-law, Butch Simon, Mountain; also numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Meady Recker, Father and Mother-in law Fred and Armeda (Ruelle) Simon, a nephew, Jeffrey Recker, two brothers-in-law, Dan McFaul and James Tonn; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Ann Simon, Rosemary Simon, and Florence Simon.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2001 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Visitation will be at CHURCH from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
We the family would like to thank Dr. Janine Buffo and staff at Theda Care of Appleton for all the extra effort and care you have given to our dad.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
