NETT, JAMES C.
James C. Nett, 70, of Appleton, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at his home. Jim was born on September 5, 1935, to the late Sylvester and Josephine (Franzen) Nett. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Liebergen on May 13, 1954; they were married for 34 years. Jim was employed at American Can Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and tractor driving. Survivors include his children, Robert (Mary) Nett, Pulaski; Sharon (Rick) Eick, Appleton; Cindy (Dan) McCarty, Tucson, Arizona; and David (Lori) Nett, Oshkosh; his five grandchildren, Lisa Nett, Madison; Charles Nett, Beldenville; Ben (Laura) Eick, Appleton; Adam and Leah McCarty, Tucson, Arizona; his five brothers and sisters, Sylvester (Rose) Nett, Appleton; Ralph (Annette) Nett, Menasha; Eugene (Constance) Nett, Menasha; Paul Nett, Weyauwega; Peter Nett, New London; Linda (Tom) Duesterhoeft, Appleton; and Judy (Joseph) Lillie, Butternut. He is further survived by his former wife, Marilyn; his special friend Carol Denzel, Kaukauna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-sisters, Genevieve (Norman) Bowe and Joanne Nett. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2005, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, N341 Military Road, Sherwood, Wisconsin, with Fr. David M. Zimmerman officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Sherwood.
