James Walter Anderson

James (Jim) Walter Anderson, 71, of Menasha, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. 

Jim was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on February 20, 1953, to Harry and Dorothy (Schroeder) Anderson. 

Jim graduated from Appleton High School West and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army and National Guard. In April of 2023, Jim was honored to go on the Old Glory Flight, Mission 61. 

He was an excellent chess player and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed playing his guitar, and most of all he enjoyed seeing his family. 

Jim is survived by his siblings, Robert (Dawn)Kathleen (David) Schroeder, Kenneth (special friend Lynn Wendler), Margaret (Glen) Martin, Paul, Julie (Daniel) Rooney, sister-in-law Penny, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel and niece Christina. 

Visitation for Jim will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N. Superior St., Appleton, WI 54911) on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
