James A. Muncey, Jr., age 61, of Appleton, died peacefully Tuesday morning, May 10, 2005, at his home. He was born December 24, 1943, to the late James A. and Geraldine (Kincaid) Muncey, Sr., in Danforth, Maine and had been an Appleton resident since 1965. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps, during the Viet Nam Conflict from 1961 to 1965. Jim retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 2004 after 25 years of employment. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage near Mountain, Wisconsin and with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon K. (Schomisch) Muncey, whom he married on June 29, 1968; his children, Lisa (Mark) Tiseling, Appleton; Leon (Elizabeth) Muncey, Appleton; Kelly Muncey, Appleton; Joanne (Norman) Grenier, Maine; nine grandchildren, Autumn and Brandon, Patricia, Ashley, Heather, John and Amber, Ryan and Derek; a great grandson, Anthony; a brother, Stewart Muncey, Maine; four sisters, Dora Young, Florida; June Albert, Lillian True and Amanda Connor, all of Maine. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Muncey, Sr., his mother, Geraldine (Kincaid-Muncey) Russell and his brother, Leon Muncey.
A memorial service will be held for Jim at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 14, 2005, at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Tom Fritz officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:00 am, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
