Markham, James A.
James A. Markham, (known as “Jimbo” to his friends), age 19 of Appleton, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008. He was born September 26, 1988 to Donald J. “Butch” and Patricia A. (Mellinger) Markham, in Portsmouth, VA. Jim graduated from Appleton North High School in 2006 and was attending Fox Valley Technical College in pursuit of a degree in Marketing. His passion was for music and his career ambition was to work in the music industry.
He was known to have a big heart and was always there to lend an ear or shoulder to his friends, when they needed advice or comfort. To his family he was more than a son and a brother, he was friend and companion. His openness and warmth spread to his family and friends and was shared by all those he came in contact with. He had a quick wit and could always put a smile on somebody's face when they needed it. Jim had deep love for New York City and the comforts of Louisiana. At the time of his passing he left behind numerous friends in addition to his family and relatives.
He is survived by his parents, Donald “Butch” and Patricia Markham; his brother, Michael; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 31, 2008 from 2 to 6 pm.
