Age 87, died Monday, August 13, 2001 at Alterra Wynwood of Appleton. Isabelle was born on July 27, 1914 in Adams, Minnesota, to the late Arnold and Mary (Klapperick) Stephani. She married Cyril Fries on March 4, 1935 in Black Creek; he preceded her in death on July 30, 1999. Isabelle was a life-long member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, enjoyed doing needlework, cooking and being a grandma. With her husband, Isabelle loved to swing on their patio porch; they are now together enjoying the swing on the Eternal Patio.
Isabelle is survived by her two sons: LeRoy (Judy) Fries, and Ken (Mary) Fries, both of Winneconne; her grandchildren: Jay (Susan) Williams, Kelly (Keith) Hietpas, Amy (Dave) Sturm, Patrick (Karen) Williams, Jill (Jeff) Schramm, Jody Fries (special friend, Lori Jansen), Wendy (Tom) Hinkens, David (Brenda) Fries, Tim Fries, Jacob (Alison) Fries and Rana Fries; her ten great grandchildren; her sisters: Caroline (Milo) Rettler, Black Creek; Marcella Rettler, Black Creek, Helen Murphy, Black Creek, and Dorothy (Bill) Martzahl, Appleton; her daughter-in-law: Sharon Fries, Combined Locks; her son-in-law: Richard Williams; her brothers-in-law: Merlin (Vi) Fries, Fremont and Gene Weyenberg, Appleton. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Joan Williams; a son: Donald Fries; her sisters: Phyllis (Dale) Van Straten and Polly Weyenberg; her brother: Ray and Leo Stephani and her brother-in-law: Lyle Fries.
The funeral liturgy will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, Wisconsin with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Black Creek.
