Age 97, died Wednesday evening, June 20, 2001. She was born November 19, 1903 to the late Reinhold and Louise (Jahn) Bloy, in Chicago, where she was a resident for 37 years until moving to Appleton. Isabel married James S. Ramsay on June 30, 1923, he preceded her in death on November 26, 1965. Isabel had been employed by the Red Cross, Hallmark Cards and Prange’s. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Appleton Medical Center Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly J. and Wilmer Schmidt, Appleton; twelve grandchildren, Gregory S. (Diane) Schmidt, Neenah; Curtis R. (Sheryl) Schmidt, Wausau; Jody S. Bischoff, South Milwaukee; Lisa K. (Tom) Stark-Misfeldt, Eau Claire; Karen A. (Mel) Troia, Madison; John McCoy, California; Sue Harris, Arizona; James S. Ramsay; Stephanie (Paul) Norvell, California; Mark (Cathy) Ramsay, Florida; Debra Potts, Florida; 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Stuart Ramsay and James Ramsay, Jr., a daughter, Lorna Stark and two brothers, Fred Bloy and Walter Bloy. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.
