IRENE J. GRACYALNA
“Grandma’s Place,” Appleton
Age 69, died on Friday, August 17, 2001, at her home. Irene was born on October 23, 1931, in Menominee, Michigan to the late Adolph and Grace (Bauer) Bleck. She married Harry Gracyalna on July 26, 1956, in Appleton; he preceded her in death in 1958. Irene was an avid, longtime bowler, enjoyed bingo and operated “Grandma’s Place” daycare for the past 30 years.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Gail) Hofman, Appleton; Steven (Kris) Hofman, Appleton; and Ann (John) Hoffman, Menasha; her grandchildren, Jay, Joel, Chad, Dorothy, Bethany, and Alan Hofman; Stacey, Christeen, Mary, Sarah, Amanda and Tara Hoffman; her step-grandchildren, Michael Ullman and Michelle Dettloff; her great grandchildren, Dakota and Hunter Hofman, Candice Lindsey, Alexander, Elexis, Brooke and Jordon Hoffman; and her step-great grandchildren, Kimberly and Kayla Ullman; her sister, Betty (Vernon) Lane; Johnny (Lois) Bleck; and Nancy Bleck; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Bleck and her sister, Loretta LaMaide.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 East Glendale Avenue, Appleton, with Pastor Nolan Gnewuch officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Monday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
