Ira ‘Doc’ Earl Kimball
Age 79, of Appleton, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at Franciscan Care Center. Ira was born on May 28, 1923 in the Town of Menasha. He was the first-born son of the late Ira E. and Lillian (Bauernfiend) Kimball. He is survived by two brothers: Thomas and Harry, a brother-in-law Melvin Nyman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Nyman and a brother Richard. Though handicapped his entire life, ‘Doc’ was a true patriot in his heart of hearts, proudly flying ‘Old Glory’ daily and happily sharing stories with his brothers and sister during their ‘Leaves’ while serving their country during WWII and the Korean War.
The Family wishes to thank the staff at Franciscan Care Center for their kindness and vigilance during ‘Docs’ last years. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2002 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
