Iola Margaret Schwab

Neenah – Iola M. Schwab, 101, died peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the American Grand Assisted Living, Neenah. She was born on February 29, 1916, in Suring, the daughter of Christian and Barbara (Holl) Christensen. Iola was united in marriage to Maynard Schwab on June 22, 1935, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2001. Iola enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton.

Iola is survived by her daughter: Ione Schwab; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren; a sister: Lois Helms; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Iola was further preceded in death by 5 sons: Donald (Patricia Voight), Richard, Dennis, Kenneth (Caroline) and Marvin Schwab; and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, 912 N. Oneida St., Appleton. Interment will be in Mount Olive Lutheran Cemetery, Suring. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
