Beyer, Ila May
“Futz”
Ripon
Age 79, joined the Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2007 following a brief illness.
Born to George and Gertrude Sauberlich on May 19, 1927, she grew up on a farm, graduating from Hortonville High in 1945. On April 27, 1946 she married Norman E. Beyer, sharing a life together until his death in 1987. During her life, Futz enjoyed a variety of pastimes, ranging from knitting and flower gardening to travel and camping. For her, it was important to share experiences with friends and family as she traveled through life. People were always welcome, whether they called ahead or just showed up. Holidays and traditions were important to Futz. An “all-nighter” was not out of the question if she were cooking a Thanksgiving meal. Her business acumen was appreciated in several office occupations in the area where she worked as a bookkeeper.
Later in life, because of a head injury, it was necessary for Futz to enter the Fountain View Care Center. There, she continued to enjoy the company of others in social occasions, such as Bingo, and praising the Lord through music at religious services.
Surviving her are her daughter, Sandra Wisneski (Sam) of Ripon, Wisconsin and son Wayne Beyer (Jean), global citizens, living in different countries at different times, three grandchildren, Sam Wisneski (Dawn), living in New York, Chris Wisneski, living in Oshkosh, Alexander Beyer, living in Menomonee Falls, and two great grandchildren, Mason Wisneski and Connor Wisneski.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 5:00 P.M. at the Wichmann Funeral Home (537 North Superior Street) with the Reverend Don Dieke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
