Ila Mae (Storma) (Sigl) Weyenberg, 90 of Black Creek, passed away Saturday, November 27th, 2021 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home of Seymour. She was born May 20th, 1931, daughter of the late Albert and Emma Storma.
Ila graduated from Seymour High School in 1949. After graduation, she worked at the Seymour Press. Over several years she also worked at Atlas Tag in Neenah, Wisconsin Wire in Appleton, Management Science in Appleton, McCarty, Curry Law Firm in Appleton, and Herrling Clark & Hartzeim in Appleton. In 1975 she started at Presto Products as Secretary to the VP of Sales until her retirement in 1995.
Ila married Robert H. Weyenberg on February 11th, 1995 in Florida. She enjoyed shopping (oh boy, did she love to shop!) with her forever friend, Marian Rohloff. She passed this trait onto her daughter, Sarah, Granddaughter, Megan, and Great-Granddaughter, Jordyn. She was always dressed up, no matter the occasion. She very much enjoyed cooking and baking and always looked forward to making a delicious meal for her family during the holidays. Ila was famous for her potato salad and apple pie!
Ila treasured her beloved dog, Dolly, who found a new home shortly before Ila went to the assisted living. Dolly was beyond spoiled and kept Ila on her toes!
Ila is survived by her two children, Randy (Carin) Sigl and Sarah (Bruce) Stephani, Granddaughter, Megan (Jared) Johnson, Grandson, Brock Sigl, and two Great-Grandchildren, Parker and Jordyn Johnson (Megan & Jared) and her brother, Allan Storma.
In addition to her husband Robert Weyenberg and her parents, Albert and Emma Storma, Ila was preceded in death by Randy’s and Sarah’s Dad, Cyril Sigl, her brothers Albridge (Caroline) Storma, Ivan (Arlene) Storma, Harlan (Lucille) Storma, and Sister-in-Law Carmelita (Allan) Storma.
Randy and Sarah would like to thank Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Unity Hospice, and the staff at Meadow Wood Assisted Living for keeping Mom laughing and for providing such great care to her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Alzheimer’s Association. In addition, a memorial fund has been established for the Fox Valley Humane Society because of Ila’s deep love for animals.
Funeral service for Ila Mae will be held on Thursday December 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park Star of Hope Chapel, 3131 N. Richmond Street. Visitation will be held at the cemetery chapel from Noon until the time of services. Inurnment to follow the funeral services.
We miss you, Mom.
Rest in Peace.
Love, Randy & Sarah
