Age 96, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, December 14, 2002, at Rennes Health Center. She was born November 14, 1906, to the late Oscar and Louise (Timm) Loos, in the town of Ellington and had been an area resident all of her life. Hilda married Fred Knaack, in the Town of Ellington, on September 28, 1928. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. Survivors include two children and their spouses, Beverly and Marvin Babler, Wausau; Bruce and Susan Knaack, Appleton; five grandchildren, Bob (Linda) Babler, Wausau; Barb (Tom) Goetsch, Wausau; Bill (Susan) Babler, Mason City, Iowa; Dawn Knaack, Kaukauna; Dana Knaack, Appleton; ten great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Loos and Magdalen Loos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Knaack, on February 27, 1966, a great grandson, Joey Goetsch, five brothers, Walter Loos, Harry Loos, Oscar Loos, Jr., Herbert Loos, Lavin Loos and a sister, Gertrude Loos . Funeral Services for Hilda will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison Street, with Reverend Kenneth L. Frey officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
