Hilda F. Reiss

Age 81, of Appleton, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Appleton Health Care Center.
Hilda was born August 27, 1927, in Neenah, the daughter of Fred “Fritz” and Olga (Fisher) Reiss. She was a graduate of Neenah High School, and began her lifelong career with the company now known as Georgia-Pacific. Hilda was a secretary with them for 44 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Riverview Lutheran Church in Appleton.

Survivors include her brother, Edward “Ed” (Lavila) Reiss, Menasha; her nieces, Debbie (Glenn) Skeldon, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Becky (Tom) Witter, town of Menasha; grand nieces and nephews, Amanda (Lindsay) Anderson and their son, Liam; Brad Skeldon, Taylor Witter, and Logan Witter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Olga.

Please join the family as we celebrate Hilda's life with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at WICHMANN TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Rev. John Hartenberger will officiate. The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the time of services. Hilda was laid to rest at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Memorials in her name may be sent to Harbor House, 720 W. 5th St., Appleton, 54914.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to everyone at Appleton Health Care Center for the wonderful care given to Hilda. We will miss Hilda but are comforted in the fact that although she is absent from the body, she is present with the Lord.
