Hendrica Wydeven

December 9, 1924 — June 8, 2003

Age 78, died on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. She was the beloved daughter of the late Gerard and Jacoba (van Handel) van den Hoogen and the wife of Pete Wydeven. Hendrica attended sewing school as a young girl and married Pete Wydeven in 1947. In 1959 the couple moved to the United States with five children; another son was born in the United States. She volunteered tirelessly working for the sick and elderly and sewing for the missions. Hendrica is survived by her husband: Pete Wydeven of Little Chute; five children: Cornelia “Ellie” (Bob) Luckey of Chicago; Gerarda “Gerrie” (Tim) Nolan of Atlanta; Adrian (Sarah Boles) Wydeven of Cable, Wisconsin; Peter (Gail Matthews) Wydeven of Lenexa, Kansas; Richard (Rhonda) Wydeven of Alexandria, Virginia; a son-in-law: Richard Madigan of Tempe, Arizona; seven grandchildren: Britton Carr, Michael Nolan, Benjamin Wydeven, Todd Wydeven, Corey Madigan, Brien Madigan, and Vanessa Wydeven; two sisters: Miet (Jan) van den Volk and Dina (Harry) Vogels; a brother: Jan (Mien) van den Hoogen, all of The Netherlands. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Jacoba “Jopie” Madigan, brothers Frans and Gerrit van den Hoogen and two sisters-in-law: Ann van Erp and Ann Wassenberg. The funeral liturgy for Hendrica will be held on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 11:00 AM at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 12, 2003 from 4 – 8 PM and again at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 7 PM Thursday.
