Age 94, passed away peacefully at Rennes Health Center, Appleton on Saturday March 10, 2007. She was born on December 11, 1912, daughter of Joseph and Mary Pleshek of Shawano. She married Oliver Laedtke of Shiocton, and later moved to Appleton where they lived for many years. Helen was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Appleton. She worked for FW Means Company for thirty years without missing a day. Her family, home, garden, and playing Bingo were her joys in life. Helen is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joyce Laedtke, Appleton; grandchildren, Todd Laedtke, Oak Park, Illinois; Beth Laedtke, Appleton, and Pam La Vigne, Appleton; great grandchildren, Sara, Anna, and Nicholas La Vigne, Appleton; a sister-in-law Lola Pleshek of Shawano, nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Oliver “Ollie” Laedtke, her son Donald Laedtke, seven brothers and three sisters.

Helen was a source of strength and courage for her family, as well as all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Rennes Health Center and Dr. Yacoub for their care and kindness.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday March 15, 2007 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 Pine St., Appleton with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9 A.M. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. Memorial donations can be made to the Appleton Education Foundation for the Donald Laedtke Memorial Scholarship Fund.
