Miller, Helen M.
Helen M. Miller, of Appleton, age 90, went to eternal life on Saturday morning, November 13, 2004, with her family at her side. She was born May 20, 1914, daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Solberg) Munson, in Washburn, Wisconsin. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1932. Helen was employed by Kimberly Clark Corporation for 15 years. She married Douglas W. Miller on December 25, 1937 and they raised two children. Helen was employed by H. C. Prange until her retirement in 1974. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Southern Texas. Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a Girl Scout leader. Survivors include her husband, Douglas W. “Doc” Miller, to whom she had been married for 67 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Michelle Miller, Ironwood, Michigan; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Reuss, Neenah; three grandchildren, Marnie (Steven) Nelson, Whitney Miller and Max Miller; four great grandchildren, Brittany Reuss, Samantha Reuss, Angela Nelson and Jake Nelson; a brother and sister-n-law, Gordon and Florence Munson, Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by her grandson Mark Reuss, Jr. and a sister, Maxine (Munson) Schnetzer. Funeral service for Helen will be held at Appleton Highland Memorial Park Chapel, 3131 North Richmond Street on Tuesday at 11 am., with Reverends Kurt and Mary Beth Kovanen officiating. Entombment will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the cemetery chapel from 9:30 am, Tuesday, until the time of the service. A memorial find is being established.
