Helen M. Faas

Helen Faas, age 90, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Appleton Medical Center. Helen was born in Neenah on November 13, 1917, daughter of the late Henry and Mary Faas. She attended school in Appleton, as well as receiving two years of training at Milwaukee Downer, a secretarial school in Milwaukee.

In 1943, Helen began working at the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton, and remained there for nearly forty years, retiring in 1983 as a Division Secretary. During those working years, Helen was fortunate to be able to take some time off for some nice vacations. She had visited all of the National Parks!

Funeral services for Helen will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in the chapel of ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 North Oneida Street in Appleton with Rev. Wendy Wirth-Brock officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. Friends may call directly at the chapel of Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.

A sincere thank you to the caregivers at Home Instead Senior Care, especially Evelyn, Tricia, and Katherine for caring for Helen in such a special way. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
