Helen Jane Meidam

Helen Jane Meidam, age 95, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Century Oaks Assisted Living. Helen was born on December 14, 1920, in Appleton, to the late Guy J. and Freda (Wilke) Williamson. She married Miles R. Meidam on September 24, 1940, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on December 28, 1997. Helen enjoyed gardening, crafting and spending time with her family–especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Miles (Susan) Meidam, Menasha; Jeff (Linda) Meidam, Scandinavia; Jon (Tammy) Meidam, Menasha; and Stephen Meidam, Oconto; her grandchildren, Melissa (Christopher Peterson) Meidam, Rebecca (Moses) Cohen, Christina (Tyler) Schmidt, Kyra Meidam (fiancé Travis Gilbert) and Kynsey Meidam; her great grandson, Milo J. Peterson; and her two sisters-in-law, Jane Wunderlich and Joyce Purcell. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Haase, Ellen Voecks and Betty Farrand.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 325 East Franklin Street, Appleton, with Rev. Markus Wegenast officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
