Helen G. Lennon
formerly Swingle
Appleton
Age 82, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Helen was born on October 1, 1920 in Casper, Wyoming, daughter of the late Charles and Evah (Starks) Swingle. She was the world’s biggest Packer fan and had a huge collection of angels. Helen enjoyed bowling in her league until her early 70’s and continued to work as a secretary through temporary services until her late 70’s just to keep busy and be with people. She loved going to rummage sales with her granddaughter Kim and shared her love of music and jewelry with her granddaughter Jennifer. Her great-grandchildren gave her great joy and kept her smiling.
Helen is survived by her son, Thomas C. (Sue) Lennon. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kimberley (John) Brzozowski; Jennifer (Jesse) Valeri and their mother, Carol (Michael) Huebner; and her great-grandchildren, Tylor and Anna Marie Valeri; and Evelyn Brzozowski. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Helen was blessed with a deep and abiding faith, which she shared with her church family. In this family she was given a son, Mike Balthazor, whom she loved deeply and who gave her great joy and comfort.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2003 at COMMUNITY CHURCH, 3701 North Gillett Street, Appleton, with Rev. Mike Jacobson officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Monday, May 19 from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. Helen’s wish was to be cremated and buried in Casper, Wyoming with her parents and brother. In lieu of flowers, memorials to benefit Community Church Appleton would be appreciated. Special friends and caretakers for whom we are grateful include: Joyce Hritz; Karen Lueck; Rev. Mike and his wife Angie; Rev.
